We couldn’t be more excited that Demi is back in the studio and is working on overcoming her personal insecurities, but adding the New Directions blonde hottie to the mix makes the whole deal a lot sweeter! We’re used to seeing Chord belt out popular show tunes and top 40 beats, and we’re dying to know what he will contribute to Demi’s album, especially because she said she’s leaning to more R&B style jams.
We think they have potential to create some beautiful melodies and can’t wait to see what Chord is capable of, now that he is slowing down his work with Glee!
Actress/singer Demi Lovato is continuing her 19th birthday celebrations – her pal Ashley Tisdale treated her to a special meal to mark the occasion.
The Disney star turned 19 on 20 August (11), and began the festivities two days early as she was at Kim Kardashian’s wedding on the day of her actual birthday.
Lovato held a glam rock-themed bash at the Madhouse in Hollywood on 18 August (11), where she was joined by Derek Hough, and she continued to celebrate on Tuesday night (30Aug11) when fellow Disney star Tisdale took her out for a special dinner.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, Lovato writes, “Had such a fun dinner tonight with ashleytisdale… Such a genuine, sweet, funny girl. Love you ash. Thanks for my late bday din (birthday dinner)!”
Tisdale replied, “Aww love u 2 babe! Im so proud of u and can’t wait for (new single) Unbroken to drop. Let’s do dinner again soon!”
Disney darling Demi Lovato will be the next superstar guest on “America’s Got Talent”. Sources close to the show have confirmed that she will appear on next Wednesday’s results show. She is expected to perform at least one song from the new CD “Unbroken”, which is set to release September 20th.
In what has become a tradition for the America’s Got Talent audience, unique acts currently on tour are slated to perform intermingled with the elimination results to spice up the program. In weeks past Maroon 5, Stevie Nicks and even Rebecca Black all took part in performances that got the audience on their feet in the live studio and shared a moment with those fans watching at home.
Demi Lovato is going to follow up her live performance at Do Something Awards with two live concerts. The ex-girlfriend of Joe Jonas called Ryan Seacrest on his radio show and took to Twitter to announce the upcoming gigs.
The first concert will be held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY on September 17. The second one will take place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA on September 23. Tickets for both shows will go on sale starting Friday, August 26 at 10 A.M.
“These shows are basically thanking my fans for being so supportive throughout this entire journey,” she told Ryan. “This is the first time that I will be on stage in about a year. I am already so excited and can’t wait to see everyone out there in the audience.”
Demi additionally revealed more tidbit on Twitter. She tweeted a “yes” when asked whether she will perform new songs from her upcoming studio album “Unbroken”. One of the songs she’s excited to perform is called “All Night Long.” There would be no supporting act, but she promises a big show for fans.
She’s going to release the album in the United States on September 20. It has already been preceded by its lead single “Skyscraper” which peaked at No. 10 on Billboard Hot 200. Details about other tracks in the album remain scarce, but rumor suggested she has hit studio with Missy Elliott and Timbaland.
The report was sort of confirmed by Ryan Tedder who helps Demi finish the album. “There’s even like a little rap feature on it,” he said. “She’s got a couple features on this album, one in particular that is going to shock everybody. I was like, ‘How did you get this person? They’re impossible to get and you got them!’ ”
Demi Lovato has announced her first concert dates after taking time off for personal issues.
Lovato tweeted that she will be playing at The Hammerstein Ballroom on September 17 and Club Nokia on September 23. Her new album, Unbroken, drops September 20.
She told Ryan Seacrest that the shows are all about her fans, aka Lovatics.
“These shows are basically thanking my fans for being so supportive throughout this entire journey,” she said. “This is the first time that I will be on stage in about a year. I am already so excited and can’t wait to see everyone out there in the audience.”
According to the singer’s Twitter account, the shows will be quite the production.
“It’ll be a big show!” she tweeted.
It will just be Lovato for the two nights, as there will not be an opening act and she will have choreography. Tickets go on sale Thursday for members of her fan club and Friday for the public.
After being spotlight for trying to overcome “emotional and physical” issues, Demi Lovato celebrated her 19th birthday Thursday night with a private, Red Bull-fueled party.
The former Disney star, whose actual birthday is Saturday, teamed up with Sober Is Sexy clothing designer Hanna Beth for a joint birthday bash at Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood.
Lovato – clad in a silver spiked Marco Marco shoulder dress – made Sober Is Sexy and glam rock the themes of the party where guests included Derek Hough, Tiffany Thornton and Hunter Parrish.
“There was no alcohol, but an open Red Bull bar,” says a partygoer. “People who weren’t dressed glam rock weren’t admitted.”
The party was decorated with photos of her and Beth “all over the walls” and they each had birthday cakes.
“Demi mingled with everyone and was such a sweetheart,” the source says. “She danced on stage with Hanna Beth, drank Red Bull and danced a lot.”

So far, Demi has released one single from Unbroken called “Skyscraper” that hit #1 on iTunes in less than a day and won “Choice Summer Song” at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. The full album will drop Sept. 20. and we cannot wait!

Maria says that she is so close to the kids she works with, her own children treat her co-stars like family!
“They have a relationship with them. Selena plays with them and talks to them,” Maria said about Selena being a role model for her own children.

Teenage star Demi Lovato has urged young fans to avoid drinking to excess, declaring: “Sober is sexy!”
The singer/actress is speaking out about addiction after entering rehab last year (10) to tackle her self-harming and eating disorder issues.The 18 year old insists she’s “made a commitment” to be healthy and wants her devotees to follow her example by saying no to drugs and alcohol.
In a column for Seventeen magazine, she writes, “‘Sober Is Sexy’ is my new motto, and it couldn’t be more true! All you need to have fun in life is a great attitude and good friends. I’ve made a commitment to myself to live a happy healthy life the best way I know how and I want to spread the message that you don’t need to do drink or do drugs to have fun.
“I think a lot of people our age start off experimenting with drugs and alcohol as innocent fun, out of curiosity, or because their friends are doing it. Often times this ‘innocent fun’ can lead to very serious issues like drunk driving, bad choices and in some cases – addiction. Addiction is a very serious disease, and it doesn’t just go away.“I’ve suffered from an eating disorder which is an addiction, and I will have to work on my recovery every day for the rest of my life. It’s an ongoing battle but one that is well worth it, and I’ve never felt happier…
