She has an older sister, Dallas, and a younger half sister, Madison De La Garza. Demi is of Mexican, Italian, and Irish ancestry. Demi's biological parents are split.

Demi is nominated for an MTV Video Award for Best Video with a message for Skyscraper! Congrats, Demi! Lets hope she wins! The ceremony is set to take place on Sept. 6 in Los Angeles.

Fresh off of news of her X Factor gig, Demi Lovato is set to host this year’s Teen Choice Awards on July 22. The singer (“Unbroken”) and former Disney star will join Cat Deeley and others for the live show on Fox. Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida, and No Doubt are set to perform.
In May, Lovato and Britney Spears announced they would be the new X-Factor judges, replacing Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
A rumor has made its way online that Demi Lovato will be hosting the 2012 Teen Choice Awards. The news has not been announced by the FOX network, so we can’t be 100% sure yet, but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything!

It looks like she had an amazing time tonight; from hanging out with her best friend Selena Gomez to reuniting with ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas. She also presented an award with Chord Overstreet.
