I’ve said it before and I will say it forever — I HAVE THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD! It’s no secret that this last year has been tough for me. But the outpouring of support and encouragement that I’ve received from all of you is honestly what has got me through even the most difficult days. If I ever feel down, the stories and understanding from my fans make me realize I am not alone. And for that, I’m incredibly grateful to every single one of you.
It’s amazing how through struggle you can find strength. I’ve been so touched and inspired by the personal stories you’ve shared with me. Each of your stories gives me comfort and reminds me that we are all in this together. Every one of you is truly special, and I love you all so much!
I always wanted to thank you all for the birthday wishes! You guys made me fee like the luckiest girl in the world.

Demi Lovato joined Seventeen Magazine as a contributing editor and spoke out about bullying and her past with it. She’s such an inspiration, we love her!
Demi Lovato, along with stars from ABC Family, has teamed up with Seventeen to “delete digital drama” and put an end to bullies on and off the internet. Demi is one of many stars who have faced bullies and she wants to put a stop to it! “The effects … are still with me to this day,” she admits.
As a contributing editor for Seventeen, Demi opened up about her struggle with being a victim of bullying in the past. “I was bullied when I was younger, it got so bad that I ended up leaving school because of it and the effects of that traumatizing time are still with me to this day,” she revealed in her article. Demi is a pretty tough cookie and we are glad she has been able to overcome bullies, one step at a time.
Stars such as Shailene Woodley (Amy Juergens from The Secret Life of the American Teenager) and Tyler Blackburn(Caleb Rivers from Pretty Little Liars) have joined their fellow ABC Family costars to promote the fight against bullying with their “delete digital drama” campaign.
Shailene said, “All it takes is to speak up, to say something. All it takes is to find that strength within yourself, to be the one to say something, to tell someone about it, to tell a teacher, tell a parent, to tell another peer—somebody—what’s going on.”
With young stars reaching out to their fans and the new film, Cyberbullying that just premiered on ABC Family, kids can see that their idols were bullied and overcame it so they can too! What powerful role models, we love them all!
Tyler said, “I think that the social media aspect of bullying is different because it spreads like wildfire immediately. So in that way, I think it’s almost more intense. But it’s just as hurtful as bullying someone face-to-face.”
Cyberbullying is a huge problem in the digital age and it is about time that someone did something about it. Go Seventeen and ABC Family!
“I think that some people use bullying as a way to fit in, and I’ve noticed it’s not just the “cool” kids doing it anymore. Sitting behind a computer gives people a sense of anonymity, but everyone needs to realize that words—even the ones they write online—have a strong power to hurt people” said Demi.
Wow, so true, words can totally hurt and even though we poke fun at bullies in films such as Mean Girls, bullying is a really serious issue. We are so proud of Demi for speaking up and her efforts for this cause are not lost on us. She is a rock star and we love that she cares about others!
Although Demi Lovato is hard at work on new music after leaving rehab earlier this year, Lovato recently mentioned how the road to recovery can be a lonely place.
After getting her life and music back on track, Demi Lovato recently posted her thoughts on her road to recovery and the journey to get better after combating an eating disorder and other issues in rehab. In a recent tweet, Lovato admitted that getting better can be a lonely process. “One of the hardest parts about recovery,” Demi tweeted, “is accepting loneliness.”
In a follow up tweet, Demi Lovato explained how she’s learned to deal with lonliness, which makes her stronger each day. “But I feel like if you learn to love those moments of unwanted independence,” added Lovato, “you can get through just about anything.”
Now in the a new chapter of her life, Demi Lovato will release her new single called “Skyscraper” on July 12.

Seventeen contributing editor Demi Lovato talks about the book that helps her remember to keep positive, and of course, stay strong.
I read a really inspiring book recently called Piece of Cake, by Cupcake Brown. Her story challenged me to look at my own life with new perspective, and made me reflect on how much I have to be thankful for. This book reminds me that life isn’t about the obstacles that stand in your way. It’s about what you do to overcome those obstacles, and how you pick yourself up afterward. That’s what really matter. To borrow a quote from Cupcake’s website:
“Her story is also about choices—good ones and bad ones— and about the possibilities that are there if only we “Pray, trust, work hard, and grab hold!” Most people would have been daunted by the hurdles she faced, but despite enormous fear and grave self-doubt, Cupcake grabbed a hold, prayed, and held on for dear life as she learned that there was another way—a better way.”
I recently went through a rough time in my own life and I admire Cupcake for sharing her story with the world—she’s truly an inspiration to me, and to millions of other women out there. Remember, when life gets tough, STAY STRONG.
